My mouth is so sore from braces?

i got my braces tightened today and my mouth hurts A LOT. what can i do to like "ease the pain" or something? can i take those tylenol pills or does that not help? what do i dooo so that my mouth isnt sore? btw the brackets and wires are ok and its not poking the inside of my cheek or anything. so you dont need to include any of that stuff.
