Can mirror be a companion to a parakeet after you tamed it?

This question playng to my mind....After I tamed my parakeet then it is recommended to buy a new bird for his companion especially when you are not always around now can a MIrror be his companion everytime i am in the school would this mirror destroy my relationship with my parakeet?like mirror disguise for true parakeet so I will not buy another one anymore
